From Bruce Gillispie via LynC:
Very sad news. Bill Wright, stalwart of Australian fandom since the late 1950s, died recently in the Alfred Hospital.
He had undergone further surgery for bladder cancer, returned home, then rang to say that he had fallen at home and ‘thought he had broken his back’. He was reachable at the hospital for a couple of days, then not.
Thanks very much to his sister Rosemary for telling us the sad news. We’ll try to keep in touch with further details when available.
